Bio
I am currently the Theatre Lecturer and Lighting Supervisor at the University of North Georgia. We partner with Brenau University, where we share one theatre program - the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. This allows for a unique partnership for both faculty and students.
My role enables me to teach and mentor students in various aspects of design and production. While I manage the operation of our lighting shop, I ensure that our students gain the practical, real-world experience they need to succeed in the industry. With the Alliance, we function as a “touring” department that loads into three separate spaces amongst our campuses.
I believe in nurturing a learning environment where creativity and technical expertise can flourish together! I encourage my students to approach their work with curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration, which helps them develop the problem-solving skills essential to any successful design project.
Whether it’s crafting an immersive lighting experience for a play or navigating the complex technology behind the scenes, my goal is to prepare my students for the challenges and rewards of working in the ever-evolving world of tech!
